There are alot of things happening in May and not alot of time to blog, so this will be quick!
Last Saturday, I took part in Project Made Real with the Band of Doodlers. Project Made Real is a social service community that aims to provide social support for those who have a destructive self- and body-image. Their goal is to cultivate healthy, more active lifestyles that will in turn promote a positive self- and body-image for young adults in Singapore.
On the 24thh & 25th of May, the Band of Doodlers were engaged to draw caricatures of people who stopped by the Project Made Real booth. Here are some of the caricatures I made, and also some photos of the event.

In the meantime, I got myself a new sketchbook. But I think I grabbed the wrong one because after I opened the plastic wrapping, I found that the paper is thin, like notebook paper and it has grids. But that’s ok, so far I’m quite liking the grids and I’ll be trying markers and paint on it, just to see if the paper holds.
This is a sketch of a temple I walked past yesterday.

For my birthday last year, my boyfriend got me a book – a wonderful book filled with beautiful photographs titled The Wonderful World of Albert Kahn.
Each picture is so delicious and filled with so much story and history. I flipped open the book the other day and randomly selected this picture to sketch from. I tried to keep the sketches loose and after a while, I started turning them into the cartoony, animated style that I’m becoming more and more familiar with.
And oh yea, there is a random sketch of a king and queen from my head.

Hey, do you play Clash of Clans?
Well, I do and I have a clan named “The Greycloaks!” And here’s an image of what a barbarian will look like if he were a Greycloak and wore it to war!!
I just painted the cloak over an official clash of clan image of a barbarian.
Anyway, if you play the game, consider joining “The Greycloaks!”
